Jonathan “JonQuest†Escoffery was born in Houston, Texas, before coming to Miami where he would plot his lyrical takeover. Being raised by Jamaican parents in various parts of Miami, and living briefly in Atlanta, Georgia, Quest’s diverse background seems to reflect in his versatile flow.
JonQuest was recently honored by being the first rap artist to be featured in Miami-Dade College’s 2007 Miami Ambiance, an annual magazine showcasing the best talent in Miami, in recent history. Quest’s comical, “World Tour†was picked up by the director of the marijuana cult classic "Totally Baked" and was slated to appear on the soundtrack during the summer of 2006; however due to unfortunate circumstances, the movie soundtrack has yet to be released.
Currently putting the finishing touches on his debut album “Conception Musicâ€, Quest is hard at work building his fan base locally, through a release of a series of mixtapes and compilation albums, and has performed at the Hot Import Nights car show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Club 609, and other locations in the Miami Beach and Downtown areas
