I'm from Virginia and come equipped with a Southern accent. I've lived in NY (NYC, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens), Philadelphia, Maryland, and a few other spots here and there, but nothing beats the South. There's a reason that you hear "southern" before "hospitality". We could use more of that here in Lost Angeles, possibly the most vain city in the entire world.
I like meeting people with outgoing personalities. I like making people laugh and I like being around people that like to laugh. I love kids... Everything is new to them and if you can share your life experiences with them, who knows... it may just save them some pain and hard times. Most kids are merely wanting someone to listen to them; to take time with them... to be there.
I also like helping those less fortunate. We're all in this life together, some leaving sooner than others, and some realizing it too late. You never know when a simple smile or 'hello' could be just what someone crucially needs. I wear my heart on my sleeve because life's too short to waste time. My word means something and I keep it. My kindness exists because of Christ... not from weakness.

Tom Clancy is one of my favorite authors, so I'll read anything he conjures up. John Grisham and C.S. Lewis are also two of my favorites.

Heroes:

My parents and grandparents.
My little buddy Tristan Pilson, who died of cancer December 6, 2005. He was only 9 years old, but filled with courage.
My cousin Jonathon Bowling and my good friend Jayton Patterson, who were both killed in Iraq in 2005.
The members of SEAL Team 10 who lost their lives in one of the most honorable and couragest events of which I've ever heard. Marcus Luttrell was the only SEAL Team 10 member to survive in the deadly Afghanistan mission known as Operation Redwing. If we only knew the price that secret forces of our military pay to allow us to live. God bless them.
Pat Tillman. A true soldier in every sense of the word. This guy turned down a lucrative NFL salary to join the Army to become a Ranger. He was killed via friendly fire.
