What Happened When is a Lexington local band centered around the songwriting..singing of Paul Ward (formerly of Dreadnot). The band also consists of a superstar line up of local talent with musicians from several local bands. Lee Owen (of Born Cross Eyed, Bluegrass Collective) brings not only his guitar stylings but also plays an organ synth on his guitar to lend an extra flavor. Danny Williams (of The New Kentucky String Ticklers, Bluegrass Collective and Sexual Disaster Quartet) uses a custom made baritone mandolin to bring yet another unique sound to the guitar section, while offering a strong vocal harmonies along with Lee. On drums we have Tripp Bratton (formerly of Catawampus, Rakadu Gypsy Dancers, and a long list of others) whose percussion mastery is well known in throughout the state. Holding down the steady bass lines is Danny Cecil (of Dojo & The String Ticklers).You've no doubt heard Danny in several projects all over town on Double Bass as well as electric.
