Going to the movies, reading a good book, spending time outdoors, driving without a destination, hanging out with friends, going out dancing, working out, taking long walks, spending time with my family, camping, sleeping in...
Anyone who has something to say!
I love any and all music -- Johnny Cash, Dave Matthews, Rascal Flatts, Fiona Apple, 50 Cent, Outkast....and everything in between. I love to see local bands and check out untapped talent - and I would give anything to see Sarah McLachlan in concert! Music that invokes feeling and thought has always struck my interest...and one of my favorite bands of all-time is METALLICA!!!
Anything and everything, except anything anime! Seriously, one of the most amazing films ever is Gladiator, and others I could watch again and again are Pirates of the Carribean, Ever After, An Affair To Remember, the second LOTR, Love Actually, Bridget Jones' Diary, Finding Nemo, Citizen Kane.... I really can't pick just one! And I'm beginning to realize that I will love just about anything written by Zach Braff.
I never have too much time to watch TV, but I love Grey's Anatomy, Related, Gilmore Girls, The Colbert Report and The Daily Show, and yes, I love those ABC Family movies. So cheesy but you gotta love 'em. This year, I've found myself becoming one of those people who just has to watch football when my teams, Steelers and Redskins, are playing. My mornings always start with The Today Show, and if I didn't have to work for a living, I'd watch Ellen and Oprah (damn the corporate world).
I have quite a few favorites...I love A Million Little Pieces by James Frey (whatever the controversy says, it was a great book!), Memoirs of a Geisha, anything by Anita Shreve, The Notebook, The Lover, anything by Ernest Hemingway, author Marian Keyes, most books by Nicholas Sparks, and one of my all-time favorite books is The Secret Life of Bees... There are too many to choose from!
My grandfather, who taught me to love, honor and respect all people, the value of hard work, and to always put others before yourself. He was the most decent, kind, caring, hard-working and generous man I have ever known. If I could become half the person he was, I would consider myself lucky.
