Every few years or so, life provides us with unforgettable entertainers. The catalog of these great artists continues to grow with each passing day. Many singers, emcees, songwriters and producers try their entire lives to engrave their name on this timeless list. Countless fall by the wayside, and others succeed. Determined to make his name heard, to accompany the greats and redefine Hip-Hop as so many artists have, Philadelphia presents, Cientifik.
Born Ty Jenkins, Cientifik (a.k.a C.I) is a martyr for Hip-Hop. Constantly refining his lyrical abilities and drawing inspiration from artists such as Rakim, Common, A Tribe called Quest, Canibus, Jay-Z and many more. Just as hard working as his parents, C.I is focused and determined to achieve success on the highest level. After seventeen years of school and education, resulting in a bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Technology, he now focuses his outstanding abilities and peerless work ethics on Hip-Hop.
At a very young age C.I recognized his interest in rap and the limelight it offered. Being a baby genius, he was able to read and write at an early age. It was then that he pursued his interest with passion and vigor, recording night after night and song after song with his little brother on their karaoke machine; laying down verses on his computer microphone, on his webcam or on his phone. At anytime and anywhere there was a microphone, C.I stood adjacent. Whenever there was a social gathering, get-together, etc. Cientifik performed. When there was a cipher in the middle of the street, C.I listened and battled.
