About Me

Melancholy and beautiful songs, with deep, world-weary vocals. Mainly piano based, utilising much of the instrument's vast range, from sparse and delicate (one song uses only four notes in total) to rich textures, bludgeoning chords, and a break-neck pace. The lyrics focus on the darker side of life with anger, contempt and sorrow being common themes. Not that it is all depressing stuff, for humour can help paint a blacker tale, wait no, that means even if it is funny, it's still depressing, erm, some of the music's quite happy. That do?
