I've actually been writing songs for a while now...since 2002.
I Started playing a couple of songs at open mic nights in good ol' Southsea of Portsmouth while studying Fine Art at the ever expanding university.
My intentions had always been to form a band using some of these songs which only came true recently with The 16 Bit Consoles in 2003/2004...That did not last long, but the song I wrote, a garage rock song called Rainbow Girl was a big fave amongst our fanbase...then came along Silicon Sun , which I formed with the drummer from the last band and 2 close friends.
I nearly forgot that whilst the band was going, I participated in running a live music night with them too. That was also good fun and an experience while it lasted.
However, now that that dream has come true and I am happy with it, I have returned to doing my solo songs. I feel I am confident enough with them now to get somewhere with them....taking on wherever I go with my guitar.
I have just recorded an 3 track ep titled "Blue Skies" and I am selling copies wherever I play. I also hope to send some demos off for recognition, building up a fanbase, gigs and hopefully, making a good living from what I love to do the most.
See ya soon. Peace and Love, NIK

Well, I am now living in London with my girlfriend and some very eccentric but lovely flatmates/friends.
I'm also working at a pub/restaurant and there I have met some new friends whom I can actually chill with...
Apart from that, I have been playing open mics when I can...i know...pretty tedious I must admit. However, I have just recorded 5 tracks with Betrayal Records, met a percussionist/band member called Cliff whom will be playing along side of me tonight at The Bullet Bar open mic night, Kentish Town,London, will be meeting a violinist, already joined a band known as The Chaos Vessel as vocalist and song writing, pyschedelically rock n rollin participatee, playing bass for a friend's evolving acoustic rock band, planning on finally getting round to applying for a CELTA teacher training course to prepare for Thailand, help my girlfriend to pass her Events Marketing degree, remember to breathe and love, and cherish this life!
These are the foundations of my future life and the things that will keep me occupied as long my girlfriend and I are here in London until who knows when the heck we'll be going back to The Motherland known as Thailand.
Date:3rd April 2007....Things change and so does the way I visualise my music. So far, I can at least say that Clifford Samuel is still not just a genuine friend but also an enthusiastic percussionist and then I really wish I could explain how happy both Cliff and I am now that we don't just have a novice bass player but also a band manager and the safe as ever, Mr David McGinty to complete the band that I had originally visualised in the first place. So, for now...back to the drawing board and there will be several open mic night appearances from us coming up etc etc...so put your feet up by the heat radiating from the sun right now and with an alcoholic or non alcoholic cocktail in one hand and your laptop in the other and let our current songs online make your soul feel serene. Laters.
7th August 2007- Latest update is that Cliff is now acting and doing well, Dave is looking after his family and both are very happy. And me...me is following his heart and it's taking me and my girlfriend to Thailand in November. And what about the music....well, the music is back in the closet with the dust...and poetically speaking, i will sometimes take off the dust and play some songs in my bedroom...so, I am naming this page 'NIK KARLBERG: SILVER PLATTER
