I've been a full fledge computer geek for a little over 11 years now. While my son is now keeping most of my attention I still spend more time on the computer than anyone I know.
Collecting and the study scorpions is something that I am always doing. I have also done for over 11 years now. There have been 2 papers of mine published in the Journal Nature and probably a few times on various web sites. While I have had the biggest, most deadly, least deadly, and all of that. I would like to eventually start doing research on venom maybe start producing anti-venom. 1 town in Mexico has over 2,600 deaths from scorpion stings, from a scorpion that isn't all that deadly. A simple anti-venom could stop these needless deaths. I doubt any American company would bother since there wouldn't be much money involved regardless of the high numbers of patients. In the past though I have mainly focused on social behavior of a local scorpion from Texas and is also found in several other states. It is one of only two kinds of scorpions out of the 1,250 known that can live with others of its own kind. Most types of scorpions like to be on their own.
I wouldn't call myself an artist, but I do make art. Also I do some painting, but most of it is done with old CDs either broken into shards or whole CDs in a pattern. I do it for myself, so I don't expect to talk about art or anything with people. Although I like the Impressionist paintings most other types of paintings I don't care for (that's a lie, I like most art). I like sculptures and casting, but haven't tried any of that yet.
I have played and worked with a few online video gaming clans. Back in the day me and my team were rated ..1 in Counter-Strike. The name of the clan was DC or Destruction Crew. Before that I was in "no name" clan were I got my most used nick, BoXeR, as we all named ourselves after a breed of dog. Eventually the members of "no name" clan all joined DC. After DC a few of us formed FI or Fatal Intent. There I played UT2004. I never ended up playing for them much as that is about the time I met my wife and well... some things had to slide to the background for awhile. Which was fine as online cheating was really coming into its own despite the efforts by many ppl. Anyway now I have son and can't really commit to any gaming obligations, so I just play when ever I feel like it.
I play a little golf, but mostly I play with my son.
I could get by with not meeting anyone else. ;-) So I may be reluctant at first as I am on here mostly to find old friends. New friends are always good though too.
Especially not any kids! If you are under 18 do not send me anything!!!! Unless your cute...j/k!!

Like with most people it would take way too much space to list everything I listen to. I can listen to any type of music given the mood is right. Even country. Hey I was raised in Tx you know. And Example: 2 artist I could listen to at anytime and it would put me in a better mood = Slayer and Frank Sinatra. Get it? I have varied musical likes and few dislikes. Like if I hear a song on the radio (which I try not to listen to) more than 1 time in any given car trip, trash, and then most other things played on radio suck to. The only radio stations that can kick it are college stations on metal night! The only time you wont hear the same thing you have heard a thousand times before.
Internet radio of course can be much better, except i don't get to flip people off as I am driving past them when listening to it. :-)

Right now there are over 2030 DVDs in my collection and that is always growing. You name it, I have probably watched it. I like all kinds of movies, but I guess for sure no musicals or anything like that, unless its different or really good.

There isn't much TV that I like and I try to watch as little as possible, but there is some good stuff out there or at least there has been. Mostly I watch Documentaries or Sports unless I am watching something I have on DVD.
Right now I read almost nothing else but Sci-Fi books. My collection though has many books that vary a great deal in subject.
