Faux Queen. Drag King. Vixen. Chanteuse.
The bastard love child of an opera singer and a madman, Charlie Darling was taken in by drag queens and schooled in proper faggish fashion, diction, etiquette, and grandiose metaphor. A flirt even in utero (don't ask), nurtured on a steady diet of mimosas and finger sandwiches, her natural vivacity and libertine spirit bloomed into a burning passion for performing that pumped through her veins with every heartbeat. She sang and danced her way across the Western world as a mere slip of a girl, winning the hearts and minds of audiences with her devotion to her art and what some have called the most captivating curves this side of paradise.
Drawn inexorably toward the Bay Area club scene, Mez Darling was recruited in 2004 to join Poor Impulse Control, a handy and portable go-go dance troupe of quirky and costumed hotties appearing at San Francisco's most posh industrial, fetish, and rock clubs such as MEAT and POP ROXX. She enchanted the unruly masses at events such as Fairy Butch, Gender Pirates, and IMsL, and a certain drag king bearing a suspicious resemblance to this Darling was also known to strut his stuff on stage. Her charms caught the eye of the proprietors of Hubba Hubba Review, and the rest is burlesque history.
2007 saw her return to center stage at Hubba Hubba's Oktoberfest, where her saucy sense of humor and undeniable sex appeal made her an instant hit. Look for more of this darling Darling's mischievous misadventures moving forward!
