Live music, hiking, kayaking, traveling, cooking excruiatingly spicy food no wait- that's what I like to eat- I like to cook anything, playing outside, my new colored pencil set, books, books, books.
Malcom Gladwell, Bode Miller, Grant Lee Phillips (oh yeah, met him, nice guy - great muscian), Terry Gross, Grace Kelly and Johnny Cash (I know, I know), Charlie Rose, Chet Baker (that one could be difficult, too) Alice Waters, Kandinsky, every woman that slept with Picasso, Julia Child (sigh), Amy and David Sedaris, Tiger Woods, Amy Tan, David Radkoff, Ira Glass, and Sarah Vowell. And, well, if it isn't askin' too much...MY OWN PERSONAL JESUS.Others who are capable of stimulating conversation.
Not enough room to include what I listen to regularly. The short list this week is: Coltrane, Neko Case, My Morning Jacket,The Brazilian Girls, Calexico, Gabriella Montero, Bill Frisell, Imogene Heap, and Chet. Mr. Baker...well he's on the list every week.
I like movies in which one can't predict the dialog or conclusion upon first viewing. It is asking for a lot, I know. Absent that, a strong soundtrack helps.
Only when necessary for work/research.
YES! Thank God for the LAPL.
My brother and Malcom Gladwell.
