I grew up in the party scene so I love a good dance club with a great DJ. However, the people I find going to those types of events now days end up being pompous assholes that just want to flash their money around. If there is a good show I will go see it but if not I’d rather stay at home or go to a local sports bar.
Other martial artists, new friends, anyone that can hold an intelligent conversation. I like people that are intelligent, independent, and know what they want out of life. I also like people that can have their own views in a discussion and not be offended if the other person has an opposing thought.
There is so much music that I love. I have about a 500 disk CD Collection and a 120 gig MP3 collection. All of it ranges from Goth/Industrial, EDM, Alternative, New Wave and etc. I was a little goth kid in High School so I still love some great Industrial Music when I can find it. I also like EDM dance music and you will almost always hear me listening to House or Break Music. My favorite DJ's would be Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, PVD, and Tiesto. Industrial music I like, Project Pitchfork, Wampscut, Minstry, NIN, and VNV Nation. As far as what I consider some normal music I still love listening to U2, REM, Depeche Mode, and the Cure. There are lots of others but I don’t have the time to list them all hear.
Typically my favorite movies are epics type shows like Brave Heart, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, or movies with bazaar twists and turns like American Beauty, Sixth Sense, Primal Fear. Anything written by Charles Kaufman: Adaptation, Being John Malcavich, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
The only 2 TV programs that I like to watch regularly is Rescue Me and South Park. All other TV programs I will watch when the time permits. I also will watch re-runs of Northern Exposure on DVD.
I don’t normally read any fiction books. Most of my reading is related to my job so I read a lot of technical manuals and trade journals. Any other reading I reserve for learning new things. On my off time I will usually read a business book or magazine. I almost always have a Business Week in case I have time to kill. Books I am currently reading are The World is Flat, and Linux Fedora 5 (learning linux for work), and Kyusho Jitsu for my martial arts class.
