Saleema was born and raised in Newark New Jersey. The dynamic female began rapping at the age of 5 years old. She would stream through the different radio stations and found a great love for Hip hop , Jazz , and alternative music. Saleema began playing the guitar at the age of 11. She attended Arts High School in Newark NJ , where she majored in guitar. The speech team was a big part of her learning process of becoming such a great artist, where she polished her poetry and rap skills. Saleema has won many awards from Symphony Hall to Bloomfield college. Once in a group Saleema and Aqeel where the fans loved them and there different style of R& B and Hip - Hop and soul. there first Lp was crazy. Now Saleema is working on her solo album due out in 2009 world get ready. She is rappin , singin , and strumming all on her own. Acoustic Hip- Hop at its puriest form!!!!
