About Me

I've been here and there in the tri-state area: born and raised in Aberdeen, SD, then lived for short times in Bismarck, St. Cloud, Minot, and am now in the Minneapolis area...or "the cities". I've been here since June 2005 and I like it so far. Just trying to get in where I fit in.

My Interests

I LOVE LOVE LOVE traveling and concerts...nowadays if i can plan a trip to see one of my favorite bands almost nothing makes me happier. a few other things i enjoy: my Jenny, eating, LAUGHING, road trips, disc golf (and tossing the frisbee around in general!), hockey, bmx, mountain biking, racquetball, sports, television, sports on television, sleeping in the sun, theater, movies, KITTENS!, any time i get the chance to hang out with my good friends (which seems to be getting fewer and farther between as my buddies slowly get spread out around the country--I MISS HANGING OUT WITH YOU GUYS!!). I also enjoy when the sun shines (especially when it's on my shoulders...that makes me happy--that's a reference to the late great john denver song for all you kids out there :p). I think that pretty much covers it.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Ok...here we go. I guess if you put a label on the music I listen to it would be called "pop-punk". So I'm a huge fan of the obvious: Blink, Green Day, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy. But it's this little band called Mest that I like the most (you should check them out). Unfortunately Mest has decided to call it quits to allow everybody involved to go their separate ways. Tony from Mest has a new band called A Permanent Holiday so i'm looking forward to hearing more of them. Some others that I'm into: Jack's Mannequin, Zebrahead, Eve 6, Unwritten Law, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, OAR, Dave Matthews Band, Dashboard Confessional, Something Corporate, Sugarcult, New Found Glory, Bowling For Soup, Yellowcard, Goo Goo Dolls, Motion City Soundtrack, Angels and Airwaves, Transplants, Boxcar Racer, +44 (you see a trend there?), Soul Asylum will always be a fave (Dave Pirner rules), Jewel will also always be a fave, Lisa Loeb, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Everclear, Sublime, Pink, Flipp, The Used, old Catch 22 (Keasbey Nights was a fun album), Less Than Jake, and probably a bunch of others that I can't think of right now.

Movies:

I used to say i had some "undiagnosed ADD" and couldn't sit through movies you have to pay attention to...but it turns out i just didn't know how to quiet my brain for long enough to watch one. So now I'll watch pretty much anything that looks good. That said, I love to laugh so I'm still a fan of the slapstick comedies. Here's some faves: Super Troopers, Old School, Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, Zoolander, Dodgeball, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mr. Deeds, Big Daddy, Waterboy, Wedding Singer, Bulletproof, Happy Gilmore, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Not Another Teen Movie, Waiting, Office Space, blah blah blah...

Television:

Lately when the TV is on I have it on CNN or MSNBC or some channel that is covering the election stuff. But I'll always love me some Family Guy, Seinfeld, Best Week Ever, Reba, Friends, The Hills, That 70s Show, King of Queens, Blind Date, Moral Orel, South Park, Saved By The Bell, Charles In Charge (i had the hugest crush on Nicole Eggert), Mama's Family (i had the hugest crush on Vicki Lawrence :p), American Gladiators, Mad Money, Leno, Conan, Sportscenter, Hockey, Football, Basketball, Baseball, X-games, most anything on the Travel Channel, and a lot of cheesy MTV shows that I am too ashamed to list. I really miss Clone High, Third Rock From the Sun, and Craig Kilborn's version of the Late Late Show.

Heroes:
