About Me

Talkative.Motivated.Lively.A new age Renaissance Man with a listening ear and a technological addiction. My passions are art, dance, music, literature, women, and studying human interaction.I offer quite a bit and ask for very little in return, which has kept me pretty even keel in all my dealings with others and in life.I videogame like no other and take the time to enjoy my friends and family as I can.In short, I live with each moment used to its utmost. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

I breakdance, groove, go out on the town (clubbing or barhopping), draw and write (in the privacy of my own home), rollerblade, video game, and try to spin records from time to time. I have a schedule from hell (due to my need to constantly be busy), but I find time to try to mingle with the opposite sex as I can. Women fall as being one of my PRIME interests (after education and money).

I'd like to meet:

David Bowie, Trent Reznor, Stan Lee, Natalie Portman, Monica Bellucci, David Lee Roth, Ben Harper, Scott Weiland, MC Hammer, Flava Flav, Heavy D, Common, and Russell Simmons.Video of the moment:

Music:

I have been all over the map, but my soulful roots have led me back to 70's Funk, Disco House, and House as my favorite form of music at the time being. Bands/artists such as Deee-Lite, Bootsy Collins, Parliament, Outkast, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, DJ Heather, Marques Wyatt, and Jamiroquai run rampant in my home. I also dabble in trying to spin records with some of my spare time.

Movies:

Too many to name, but here are a few faves: LEGEND, XANADU, KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE, GLADIATOR, THE LAST UNICORN, THE LAST DAYS OF DISCO, MYSTERY MEN, DUNE, JACOB'S LADDER, ANGEL HEART, and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.

Television:

Not much that I get into anymore. I normally watch PBS, the History Channel, Cartoon Network, or Comedy Central (when I am not goofing off on videogames). There is too much grief in the world to watch the news all the time.

Books:

"Alice In Wonderland" (Lewis Carroll), "The Dark Tower" series (Stephen King), "Left Behind" (LaHaye/Jenkins), "A Winter's Tale" (Mark Helprin), and "Uncle Remus Stories" (Joel Chandler Harris).

Heroes:

Optimus Prime, Malcolm X, Jimi Hendrix, Martin Luther King, Jr, Granvil and Gladys Knowles (my grandparents), Caldonia McNealy (my first babysitter and her daughter, Charlene), Elfa Feathers, Denzel Washington, Basquiat, and my Mother (for her patience with me growing up to this day).

Hurricane Ike: The Aftermath Continues (A tale in pictures)

Buried someone I knew well this past week and took in a lot of stories of homes lost, bodies missing, and restoration to come. Here are just a few of the shots that I decided to share from between Lou...

Do you see what I see?

For those who keep asking where I am getting my backgrounds for my page, these are select shots from the stills I am using for the video project I've got going on.  Some of them really shine on t...

Pictorial (aka Video 2)

I don't know if any of you actually happened to wonder what happened to video number 2 or if enough care, but I took time to gather a crap ton of stills and shots of what I've deemed as eye-catching d...

Video number 2 (Art imitating life)

Some of you have seen my first new video that I made back closer to the beginning of the year.  If not, here it is: That all stemmed from a homecoming and a flow of emotion that really h...

Blog about. . .

Well everyone is doing their own blog for a purpose or two.  Some private, some not.  I started thinking about how I can chronicle some of what I feel to be real while meshing in some of wha...

Winning at life

Serious change is around the corner and I have my Creator to thank for it (along with the arduous steps of a thousand journeys I have made).  I've kept what little wealth I hold to my name, my se...

Going the way of the Dodo (or leaving it all behind you, an unmerry misadventure)

I don't care anymore about the trappings of being civil or following the general pleasing line of lip service that leaves smiles behind.  All I care about is saying how it is, letting the full de...

Pause: The First Citadel

Furious motion and tireless effort have brought me far and across the great divide that I thought was a hole in my heart.  When I look back at the past 5 months, I realize that the journey was no...
