About Me

I’m a musician, fairly crazy, mostly incomprehensible when I’m excited (which is often) yet still capable of annoying the pants of anyone in my immediate area with the alleged sarcastic word or two now and again. I suppose my music taste could be described as ‘varied’, but deep down at heart I’m a metal-head, (with prog-rock and, err… acoustic jazz leanings.) I’m happiest when I’m sitting behind a big drum kit, or doing something fairly adrenaline-based. I'm currently the drummer for The Dreaming Tree, (progressive rock band) Intense (Power Metal band) and play locally with Sam Newth, who's an acoustic singer/songwriter.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

'Tis a good question, but I like to live by the plan that meeting your heroes is usually disappointing, so I’m much more of the mind that if I meet anyone at all, from my biggest hero to some random bloke in the street, it’s all a great part of being alive, and every experience is just as valid. (Though if Angelina Jolie wants to get in touch specifically to meet up away from Brad than that’s totally cool with me…)

My Blog

England Rugby.

After watching England Vs Wales yesterday, I'm driven to make this quite revealing observation: If international rugby requires the ability to chuck the ball away, leap out of the path of oncoming att...

The Joy of Sun

I've alluded before as to why I'm much more of a winter person than a summer guy. Take this last week, for example. I look out of my little window here in my little street, and normally after a gruell...

Why Hitler May Have Had Something&

I play football on Tuesday evenings on an Astroturf pitch with some of my friends. 7 a side, fast paced and a good way of burning off some energy. But only when the energy is directed at football. Tha...

Why Text arguments are dumb...

For those of us who are packing the sort of technology that is the equivalent of the mobile phone dark ages, arguing with someone via text is pretty silly, really. I'm only able to use 160 characters,...

Eurovision, or Why I want to kill myself&

Last night I found myself being dragged kicking and screaming towards a Eurovision Party to enjoy a fun night of nonsense that our continental cousins serve up each year. The only issue with this is t...

Strange yearnings for Summer

I Don't understand. Why do folks in the main moan constantly about the horrible winter, dark nights and miserable weather at this time of year? Why can't it always be sunny from 3.30 in the morning un...
