About Me

It's really hard to describe yourself in a box but basically I'm a minor nerdette. I occasionally have sporadic geek outs which involve things like Lord of the Rings movie-thons, late-night cartoon marathons, and an occasional giggle at people who don't know how to do math (Sorry, but I did major in it, so I have some credentials to back me up in my superiority.) For the most part I like to go out to eat with my friends, see the newest flick at the theater (I'm not a movie snob in any way), or even hang out at a coffe/book shop with a good read. I tend to become very lazy if given an opportunity to, but usually I'll force a good run out of myself. After I got dogs, I have become somewhat obsessive about them and will occassionally excuse myself from any activity in order to come home quickly and play. Doesn't mean I don't want to kill them when they ruin my favorite pair of shoes, but I do still love them anyway. I have been wearing glasses for most of my life and thus almost automatically like a person more when they also wear glasses; I believe it adds character.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

My Interests

Movies, music, television, and reading...is there anything else really? Yes. Manchester United of course!

Music:

Currently I love, love, love Radiohead! Some of my other favs: the Beatles, Elbow, Damien Rice, Feist, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, M.I.A., Kate Nash, Fiona Apple...and if it's British or emo (or better yet, brit-emo!), I am sure to like it.

Movies:

Amelie, American Beauty, Office Space, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost In Translation, Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic, The LOTR trilogy, Star Wars, Harry Potter movies, The Big Lebowski, King Pin, and any kind of Brit costume drama like Sense & Sensibility, Shakespeare in Love, Pride & Prejudice...

Television:

Battlestar Galactica! Flight of the Conchords, 30 Rock, Family Guy (Seasons 1-3, the new stuff is crap), the Simpsons, Futurama, South Park, SNL, Arrested Development, Undeclared, the Office, Blackadder,Project Runway...I've come to realize TV is a dangerous addiction but having been an addict for so many years, recovery is not happening any time soon...intervention?

Books:

Books I've read in 2007: Atonement, His Dark Materials Trilogy, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood, On Chesil Beach, Momo...I really tried to start Proust, but my attempt has failed with $3.00 in fines from the library.
