Olive & Iron started as the dream of brothers, David and Justin Magness, in 2001. Since the band’s inception, they have been through the usual line-up changes that seem to happen to any band that stays around long enough. The current line-up seems to be the most musically cohesive ever. David Magness, guitar; Justin Magness, drums; Casey Lauterbach (formerly with Pocket Full of Rocks), lead guitar; Stephen Dumas, keyboards; Kale Magness, bass. O&I recently released their third album. This is the first album with the new O&I line-up and the chemistry has been great. The new tunes are relevant and unique, with compelling lyrics. O&I signed a promotions contract The Music Insider in Nashville, TN in February of 2006. O&I keeps a busy schedule as they share their ministry in various venues ranging from Churches, Christian Coffeehouses and Clubs, to Festivals, Retreats, and Camps. O&I has also shared the stage with National Bands such as Jeremy Camp, Building 429, Kutless, Fusebox, By The Tree, Jonah33, Disciple, Spoken, KJ-52, Krystal Meyers, Pocket Full Of Rocks, The Afters, Jimmy Needham, Eleventyseven, Adam Watts and Strange Celebrity.
