Those of you who know me, know that I have spent much of my life as a perfectionist. I have dedicated my time to appealing to others in order to gain their confidence and in the end, I find myself disappointed and worse off then when I started. I realize that I can no longer live my life according to how I believe others would appreciate it because at the end of the day, I am the one who is held accountable for my decisions, not those people. I have made it my mission to continue to be the best person I possibly can, but this time, I am doing it because it is what I feel is best. I will no longer be guided by the pretenses of the world,but I am allowing God to lead me. This task will not be easy, but I am asking all those who know me to help me in that quest. I want each person to take this journey with me. While I understand that people will make their own decisions as to what is best for them, I still hold out the hope that we can walk the long road together.
Because there is so much going on in my life, it is important that I only surround myself with people who are also trying to better themselves. If all you bring is deceit and trouble with you (and you know who you are) then I am not the person you want to even get to know. And for those who think I can't tell, trust me, I already know and I'm giving you the opportunity to remove yourselves from my presence before I confront you.
