Formed in fall of 2003 in Pittsfield, MA,
A Sign Before strides for nothing but writing great dynamic hook-driven hard rock songs. Composed of three brothers and a friend,
A Sign Before is sure to nest within the confines of minds everywhere. Distorted, detuned guitars, from the souls of rhythm thrashing Brian Gwozdz and lead singer/guitarist Ian Mattoon, coupled with catchy rock grooves beaten out by Chris Mattoon and booming bass, via the wrath of Shaun Mattoon, are indeed a force to be reckoned with. A Sign Before’s sound include Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Lost Prophets, and the like.
With the loss first of guitarist Brian to his band Setwall, which he later moved from to join Reason 837, and the loss of Chris Mattoon to a career in Concert Drumming,
