About Me

Let’s see, what to say about myself? I grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, went to school in Ohio, and upon graduating made the journey out West to Los Angeles. The city is…okay. Despite the lack of seasons, ever present smog, traffic, and angst that hangs over the place, there are still a few things about the place that are appealing.

Just don’t ask me to list them.

Currently attempting the typical LA balancing act of being a drone by day and trying to make something of my own by night. I’m also a master of oblique statements that make little sense. I’ll let you know how that works out.
And now a link...

My Interests

Reading. Writing. Talking. Walking. Watching (TV, Movies). Schemeing. Planning. Listing. Wishing. Hoping. Sadly, I must admit to Singing...but only when the time is right. Cryptic, huh? Yep, that's how I role. Other "ings."

I'd like to meet:

I had a teacher in Elementary school that we called Mr. Rodernose. That wasn't his real name, it was just something that we made up at the time because, well, kids are kind of pricks. He must have done something at some point in time to warrent the name. Or at least I hope he did, like I said, all I really remember is the fake name we came up for him in what I can only assume was some kind of retalitory strike. Yeah, if I could meet someone, I'd like to meet him. To find out what his real name is, and to figure out why, after all of these years, I still remember all of that.

And these guys would be pretty cool as well...

Music:

And here is where I come up with nothing. I like Music, listen to it even. But I am totally out of it when it comes to what I like. I can tell you that as a rule I am NOT the biggest fan of country...but that's not to say it isn't good. You see I had a bad experience in a hotel where I didn't get a bit of sleep because the folks down stairs played Hank Williams JR into the wee hours and for a brief time I think it drove me crazy. Was that an overshare?

Movies:

Indiana Jones Anything. Jim Henson Anything. Chronos. Rushmore. The Life Aquatic. Dr. Strangelove. The Pink Panther. North by Northwest. The Birds. Jurassic Park. Austin Powers. E.T. Batman. Batman Begins. Shaun of the Dead. Spiderman. Ghostbusters. Jaws.

Television:

Heros. Boston Legal. The Office. Pushing Daisies. Life. The Wire. Scrubs. Rome. Arrested Development. The X Files. Man there are a lot of lists on this thing.

The Invisible Man. Of Mice And Men. The Great Gatsby.Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. The Historian. The House of Leaves. The Futurist. Fitzpatrick’s War. Otherland. The Egyptologist. E.Of Paradise and Power. Power and Politics. On Bullshit. America The Book. The Singularity Is Near. Nano.Calvin and Hobbes. The Far Side. HellBoy. Y The Last Man. Fables. Jack of Fables. Lucifer. The New Avengers. Iron Man. The Mighty Avengers. Fantastic 4. Criminal. The Professor's Daughter.

Heroes:

Those who realize they can, and do. It doesn't matter what, but we live in kind of a vanilla pudding world, so it's nice when someone sets the sites a little higher and goes for...well I ran out of steam on the whole food analogy, but I think you might get the picture. Right?
