About Me

Have been playing music for almost 16 years and have loved EVERY MINUTE of it... If you know me, then you probably love me. If you don't know me, then you probably should! I love all of my family and friends dearly, they are the ones that keep me sane...
I am stubborn and hard headed just like any Taurus, and have the attitude to boot... I miss the road when I'm home and when I'm home, I miss the road...

-----------------BIO--------------------------
Music, guitars, and the stage will always be in my blood, literally. My father Byron Sr. played in various bands in the ‘70s finding moderate success with Exile and the more rock-based Nazareth. Being a baby on tour I was basically born into music. The rest plays out like all the stories. Picking up the guitar at age 9, I never looked back. While kids were playing outside and doing all the usual adolescent hobbies like sports, my sport was the guitar.
Having my father in the music industry was a huge influence. Being able to see first hand what would become my future is a bit sureal. Being introduced to various types of music, nothing was put on the backburner. From popsters like Hall & Oates to all-out rock legends like Van Halen and Motley Crue, my background was filled. As a youth, I found metal and new wave and discovered sounds that influenced my own sound. Limiting myself to a certain genre was never an option.
Having studied the guitar for many years, naturally recording was the next step. I studied at Unity Gain Recording Institute and Full sale; I gained experience on the other side of the studio. The knowledge in Pro-Tools and multi-tracking has been a plus thus far. Gaining this experience I started to seek out like-minded souls and was able to get on the stage fulfilling the next phase. The stage is ultimately what a musician strives for. There is nothing like your song becoming an anthem whether there are 50 people or 50,000. The end result is the same. YOU ACTUALLY HAVE FANS....
I played with several bands achieving success moderately and also on a national level. Most notably with a rock outfit called Waking Season around 2004/05 garnering record label interest and subsequent deals with Sony/ Columbia in addition to working with producers Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Virgos Merlot, Creed) and Justin Thomas (Coarse of Nature, Submersed) on the band’s debut. We were honored to share the stage with the legendary Deftones as well as tour with Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin and many others. All of this resulted in endorsement deals with GHS strings, Line 6 pedals, and JBL pro-audio. The benefits of getting to the big stage, all of which stay current. Although the band went on indefinite hiatus, it remains as the best experience because that was the first real taste of the industry as a whole. To have the band’s single “Getting Through” gaining momentum on rock radio nationally was so rewarding.
In recent years, I’ve continued to write and collaborate with artists such as Alex Band (The Calling) for which I’ve written some songs for his forthcoming solo album and more recently working with ex-Splender frontman Wayman Boone on various projects on a production level as well as writing. My most recent project is a work in progress.... Lets just say it involves Brett Hestla co-producing and playing bass and Will Hunt on drums... The future is looking bright and my hands are inside MANY different jars, and enjoying every minute. .
For gear of choice, I’m currently using Brian Moore and Gibson guitars through Marshall cabinets and Line 6 pedals and effects along with Mesa Boogie amplification. There can never be enough variations of your tone or sound. I chose this path a long time ago if not born into it. I know that whatever undertaking I am apart of will be an adventurous one for every party involved. That is a promise. Cheers…
