Laurie Miller has been playing bass, singing, songwriting, playing the guitar, and teaching music for 20 years. Laurie began her music career playing the violin and classical piano
when she was seven.
Laurie started her professional music career in the Bay area, and was fortunate enough to play with enormous talent (Larry James, Mark McGee (Greg Alman's guitar player), Ricardo Scales, Raul Casada, Randy Hansen, Paul Pesco (J. Lo's musical director & guitar songwriter - Hall & Oates), Mike Braun (drummer Hall & Oates), Joel Taylor (drummer - Allan Holdsworth, Yanni), Joe Vitale (Alabama), etc.
She was also lucky enough to hang out with the famous trumpet player Sal Marquez (Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Frank Zappa, Jay Leno show) in LA for the past 15 years. It has been a great education in jazz hanging with Sal. 'Frog Song' video under Laurie Miller band at Youtube. Currently Laurie plays bass and sings with several bands in the Seattle area.
Laurie also has 5 CD released, and has licensed her music for commercial use.
