About Me
For nearly 7 years Kustom Blend has entertained audiences all over the Mid-Atlantic region with their truly original sound. By fusing rock, classical, jazz, blues and thought provoking lyrics, Kustom Blend has caught the attention of many listeners. Their 2001 self titled debut cd and 2003 live cd Vicariously Through Us Live both received rave reviews throughout the region noting the albums originality, uncanny gear shifting, powerful production and originality. The self titled album embodies the formative song writing years of Kustom Blend. The members chose to record, Vicariously Through Us Live, at the Royal in Baltimore on July 19, 2003, to capture the pure live essence of a Kustom Blend show. The albums have received radio airtime on several radio stations in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. market including, WIYY 97.9, WHFS 99.1, and WRNR 103.1. For both albums Kustom Blend hired the expertise of producer/engineer Jake Mossman, whom has been involved with a wide array of artists, such as the Boston Pops, Jimmy Eat World, and even recently the Foo Fighters for their 2003 AOL Broadband special. ------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------In July of 2007 Kustom Blend released their 3rd, and by far best album, "The Goat". "The Goat" is a studio effort that truly makes a statement about the bands ability. It was long overdue, but the timing was just never right in years past. It contains 9 tracks all of which have distinct characteristics, however the album maintains a smooth flow throughout. It's a great listen from track 1 to through 9. The band hired the expertise of Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, Jack's Manequin, Nothing Face) to engineer and produce the album. He was well worth the money!
