About Me

Inner Sense, a.k.a. Walt Brophy, started making music from a young age, being generally anti-social on lunch breaks and going to mess about in his high school's MIDI labs. From this, a passion for manipulating and creating sounds was born. When he turned 16 in 2000 he managed to get a pair of cheap decks and drum and bass became his main focus DJ wise - some poor selections were made at these points but a more refined taste soon began to develop. The ragga-jungle tearouts had to go. In mid-2003 he decided to start music production properly and began making d'n'b as well as spinning it.In 2004, just as he was starting a music technology course at Leeds Met, Inner Sense was introduced by chance to Good Looking veteran J Laze. J Laze introduced him to the wonderful world of Cubase and gave him valuable advice that helped push his production to the next level and escape the 'noisy lego' like approach of Fruityloops. It's been a positive progression for Inner Sense ever since, receiving plays in a few clubs over the world including Winter Music Conference in Miami 2007 (thx Overfiend) and radio stations including the BBC's 1Xtra, Bassdrive and Life FM.Taking in a wide range of influences, Inner Sense's tracks blend soulful harmonies, rolling beats, deep bass and a few carefully chosen, nicked samples; his tracks aim to have as much impact on your home stereo as they do on the dance floor.Watch this space as Inner Sense is surely a name to look out for in the non-too-distant future......
