About Me

I love to think. Especially about the "what if's" we run across every single day and just pass by because we don't know the answers. I like exploring the unknowns and making them known--at least known to myself. I love thinking about the universe and things like that. I'm interested in astronomy, but have only had the opportunity to take one course in it. Music is another big winner, although not a lot of the "mainstream" that is found on the radio these days. Although I can be antisocial at times, it's nice to spend some time with just a few people, get to talk, know each other, know what they can bring to you and your insights--it's amazing how much you can learn through the simplest conversations. I don't like to do things I'm uncomfortable with, but I always feel better after stretching the boundaries a little bit. Crunchy leaves and scarves are the best inventions. (Ever.) Life is full of mystery and that is what makes it so special.

My Interests

Music, outdoors, cuddling, reading. Wow, how simple a life.
Your Theme Song is Fight for Your Right by the Beastie Boys
"Your mom busted in and said, "What's that noise?"
Aw, mom you're just jealous - it's the Beastie Boys!"

You love to party hard and cause a little trouble...
And you're too busy getting wasted to move out of your parents' house! What's Your Theme Song?

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone. No matter who it is, the mother of your first grade boyfriend with cooties, the grandmother you never spoke to but learned who she was through her art, or the nameless and faceless man walking down the street with the scary hat and black overcoat, they all can teach you something. I promise.

Music:

We'll go easy here and I'll just list the first 30 CD's on my shelf. No particular order.John Coltrane, Pike's Place Market Barbershop, Clark Terry, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Sublime, Miles Davis, Rhonda Larson, LL Cool J, Glenn Miller, Usher, Meridith Brooks, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Chicago Soundtrack, Christina Aguilera, Gordon Goodwin, Modest Mouse, Lynard Skynyrd, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chris LeDoux, Outkast, Diana Krall, Yo-yo Ma, Nguyen Le, The Brecker Brothers, Eagle Eye Cherry, Nickelback, DMX, Mindi Abair, Screamin' Jay Hawkins.Yeah, so as you can see, I'm not extremely picky and I'll listen to most anything.

Movies:

Moulin Rouge. Aside from that, I like watching movies, but I don't have a bunch of favorites. I love all types, comedy, horror, drama, musicals, etc.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of TV.

Books:

I like books. Right now I'm not reading anything too mind boggling that just "has to be finished," however I do love my old poetry collection.

Heroes:

Quidam.
