The Davey Brothers

About Me

In the 90's The Davey Brothers helped breath life back into the British Blues scene when their powerhouse blues band The Hoax rumbled through the decade, sparking Q Magazine to proclaim them the new Rolling Stones, and sweeping up 5 consecutive British Blues Awards and an Induction into the British Blues Hall Of Fame for good measure.
10 years on from The Hoax's premature split and The Davey Brothers are still turning head's and breaking new ground, albeit in several different incarnations. Both Jesse & Robin are film makers of great aplomb, Jesse having just completed music videos for Gavin Rossdale and Papa Roach, whilst Robin earned the 'Stanley Kubrick Award for Bold and Innovative Film Making' at Michael Moores Traverse City film festival for his feature documentary 'The Canary Effect'.
Musically Robin is one half of Eclectic pop duo 'The Bastard Fairies' and also fronts The Robin Davey Blues Mob. Jesse is an in demand producer working with the brightest stars on the international blues scene. He is currently working on a solo album and often found frequenting festivals across Europe with The Handmedowns a blues extravaganza featuring a revolving line up of the UKs finest blues talent. Both can be found gracing stages on each side of the atlantic and tearing up audiences with their incendiary guitar work. Having rarely been seen on the same stage since their days in The Hoax, the pair recently reunited at an unannounced performance in a small blues club in southern california, sharing a single guitar the brothers traded licks passing the instrument back and forth.
The Davey Brothers currently unreleased album is now back in their possession after a legal battle with Interscope records which saw The Davey Brothers regain control of their catalog and part company with the major label. Plans are now afoot for a full release of the album which contains the hit 'Heart Go Faster' which featured on the Tomb Raider 2 soundtrack and was the closing title song for the film.
