About Me

500 Years of Resistance: A meditation on the continous struggle for freedom by the oppressed peoples of the world & specifically the indigenous peoples of the "Amerikkkas," the Nican Tlacah. The attacks on our indigenous culture, language, land, and way's of living have never stopped! This song is a meditation on the suffering and struggles that are experienced by the Nican Tlacah. Even in our contemporary times indigenous peoples who resist oppression and domination are murdered because they chose to resist collectively as their ancestors before them chose to do so. This resistance is a continous historical process that dates back to the landing of Colombus in the Carribean and to the present day situation in Chiapas, Mexico as well as across the continent. We see the poor, humble, and dignified indigenous peoples of the continent rising up! There is only one choice....RESIST or DIE!
