I am here for Networking

About Me

I am currently one of the busiest human beings on the planet! I seriously think I have a syndrome or something (don't we all!!!). I just have a hard time relaxing when there is so much to do on planet earth!
I have recently finished a four year degree/diploma program at University of Guelph-Humber. I studied media with a specialization in Public Relations. I left January 10th for Australia to complete my Uni internship in Melbourne and Sydney, and have now moved back up to Brisbane to work and save some $$$. Right now I am bartending at a restaurant/club in Brisbane called Friday's and I am writing the first draft of my first novel called "Once in a Lifetime", and the pilot episode for a 1 hour drama called "Last Call".
For the next year I plan to bum around the country hitting all the good surf spots, working whenever and wherever I can - I have the travel bug, what can I say?! I'll Probably spend most of it in Byron Bay - My favourite surf spot in the land of OZ.
Other than school, I play drums. I played in a rock band called The Spicoli's , and continue to play whenever I can. Still have the dream of one day being as big as Dave Grohl. A guy can dream can't he?!

My Interests

I enjoy reading, writing, film, web design, and music.
I enjoy playing recreational sports including surfing, volleyball, rollerblading, hockey, and football.
I have independently funded travels to over ten countries including: Costa Rica, Germany, Belgium, Italy, France, Greece, Holland, Scotland, Hawaii and many other U.S. States, East/West Coast of Canada.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone and anyone! Say hello. I Like online encounters. mmm encounters.

Music:

Everything and anything with a good rhythm. Punk, Rock, Reggae, Metal, Jazz, Techno, Hip-Hop...I don't care, so long as there are good lyrics, sweet melodies and sweet sweet drums!

Movies:

I am very particular about Tarantino. I like him. I like almost any horror movie you can shake a stick at. Give me a good dose of Office Space and the Big Lebowski, and you'll have me laughing like a fool. Sweet Sweet Hitchcock. Really though, any 80's movie will do. Fast Times, The Wizard, Flight of the Navigator, The Labrynth. You catch my drift.
Lately I have been into any kind of independent film, and enjoy going to film festivals and catching the work of fresh minds and untainted creativity.
Someday, I aspire to do some film/video work myself.

Television:

Television is overrated. I like the news and witty commercials. Actually, I do enjoy a few shows, namely Lost, C.S.I., Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Family Guy, Trailer Park Boys, and any of the fine fare found on OLN.

Books:

My favourite book is On The Beach by Nevil Shute. It made me cry. Seriously. I am currently reading lots of books. Everything from Sci-Fi to Suspense. Just finished three Douglas Coupland - "All Families are Psychotic," "Shampoo Planet" and "Elanor Rigby". Recently I read "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thomson and "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. Next up, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" by Mark Haddon. I'm a nerd, I know.

Heroes:

Jeff Mother Fuckin' Spicoli, Hunter S. Thomson, Bill Clinton, David Suzuki, Dalai Lama, Matt Groening, Stanley Kubrick, etc. etc. the list goes on....
