Once upon a time, music was good. Bands didnt sell-out and evil corporations didnt rule the world. Most importantly, ska was alive and well. But those days are dead, killed by the evil that is MTV. It was this way for many a year and many a generation were subjected to whatever Carson Daly wanted. These were dark days indeed.
But then one day, a glimmer of hope emerged from the darkness. The punk rock scene had recently been saved by the rockingness of the Closet Squatters.
The stage has been set. It was time for something new. Something ska. The time was right for young Jack and Tony to save music, but they would need help. Excellent, if overrated, bass player Danny was brought in. Next was Chrispy on the trombone.
Unfortunaly after a short stint, he was forced to leave the band for the summer. Enter trombone virtuoso Big Billy. Chrispy, thought to be dead at "camp"(aka Neverland), came back near the end of the summer to replace Danny as lead vocalist.
Due to the overwhelming testosterone levels at each practice, people started to question the band's sexuality. Seeing as all the members were perfectly straight, they added a girl named Caroline to douse the suspicions, I mean, play piano...
Later, trumpet player Jim was discovered. He then brought in Dan, drum master. But then Dan started showing up to practice less and less due to rumored drug problems. So, they turned to the most sober person they knew, Bob Lopatka.
Caroline and Bob later quit. We don't know why, probably to find a cure for cancer or some other honorable activity. Whatever it was, they're gone, and now possibly dead, but no matter, lil' Jack O'Hara has been brought in to continue our total and utter rock fest. Er, ska fest.
Thus, the Back-Alley Skanks were born!
