Reef Brown begin rapping at age 8 due to a chance encounter with rap pioneer Kurtis Blow and legendary producer/promoter Floyd Lee. His introduction to them was a 5 minute freestyle. Thinking this kid has skills, producer Floyd Lee took Reef under his tutleledge to not only develop him as an M.C. but to teach him the producing and business aspects of the industry. Learning from and surrounding himself around such greats as Slick Rick, Run-D.M.C., LL Cool J, M.C. Lyte, Nice & Smooth, Rakim, Public Enemy, and Big daddy kane, Reef begin to develop what industry insiders call the "knack" of having and redeveloping his own style everytime he ryhmes or produces a song. Now a grown man, Reef Brown "The Profit" aka "Shorty Loc", is ready to take the world by storm. As an Artist, Rapper, Producer, Illustrator and Visionary of the streets and beyond.
