Love began his journey in the world of entertainment as soon as he could stand on his own two feet. The eldest son of Hall of Fame Martial Arts Master, Dennis D. Newsome, (of “Lethal Weapon†fame), Love was born, kicking and screaming on November 3, 1987, in San Diego California. He inherited his good looks, vocal talent and modeling skills from his mother, Alexandria Breeland. His love and skill with African-Brazilian percussion instruments were cultivated through a variety of performances with his father's entertainment group. “I am a different personâ€, says Love. “I want to make music that has social, economic and cultural relevance-- not fantasy or materialistic songs.†He adds, “I like to start trends, not follow them.â€Self-taught, self-motivated and self-produced, you would have to search far and wide, to find a more serious, dedicated, and hard-working artist on the rise than Love. At age 13 Love solemnly committed himself to becoming a Rap Artist. By age 17, he focused more on his vocal skills in order to dub his own background harmonies. He started self-producing his prolific beat creation and song writing acumen at age 18. “I am serious about my music... I don't play when it comes to creating music,†says Love. “It's my baby... I love it!â€â€œMusic is all around me,†Love says. His creations can spawn from spoken words, casual sights, ambient sounds and even the natural environment that surrounds him. Love's creation process is both logical and methodical, and can be initiated whenever and wherever the idea hits him. First he begins with an impromptu freestyle riff, vocal or beat that he captures with his cellphone, (over 200 sound recordings to date); then he polishes the piece on his computer before finalizing it in the recording studio. Love is inspired by all genres of music including opera, country, electra, pop, R&B, rock, and even music from other countries, in languages that he cannot comprehend. “Music is music,†he says. “And I can respect that.â€In spite of his dedication to a solo career, Love often collaborates with other artists that take their craft seriously. His down-to-earth, easy going nature makes him a perfect partner, mentor or even student of the art of music production. Love has worked with artists, musicians and producers from various states in North America as well as locally. He spends a great deal of his free time mentoring youngsters to keep them on the straight and narrow path to success.Love's talents extend to various disciplines of dance, martial arts, singing, rapping, acting, recording, modeling and photography. When asked how he would like to be known in the music world, Love says, “I want my name to be more that just an emotion. I want to build my own empire, (record label, A&R department, recording studio, etc.), and stand on the stage at the Grammy Awards someday.†He adds, “I think I am going to be the start of something new.â€
