About Me

Very Wet began in the summer of 2004, in a suburban basement in Portland Oregon. In the beginning the band consisted of Andrew Wisler on guitar, David Liabraaten on Vocals/Keys, & Emily Adams on bass. Without hesitation, the bands first practice ever was captured in mono, as heard on the song 'Peapod's are Liars'; a lo-fi recording that used a drum machine with a basic beat for tempo. With a creative DIY ethic & intentions to embrace the future, the trio found inspiration from both acoustic & electronic instruments; & at times would invite guest musicians to play a creative part, sometimes impromptu! The band had a unique multi-dimensional sound, but priorities between members ranged from finishing up college, to career development opportunities outside of the music. While the three remain friends, the short-lived band disassembled to work on individual personal projects.

So that brings us to current. Very Wet is now just myself, Andrew Wisler. I've decided to return to this project after many months of thought and personal experiences... I'll share my art & music here, & I will do my best to update the page for everyone on a regular basis. I invite you to stay informed, so please check this site for new updates along with any scheduled events!
On a final note, I would like to include an extra special thanks to the friends & people that I have met, & to those who have influenced my life, spiritually, creatively, & musically. Lets celebrate in this new year ahead.
-Andrew
