Long Knives

About Me

*** OUR NEW RECORD IS FINISHED and will be available at shows, DECATUR CD and CRIMINAL RECORDS. It's a measly 7 bucks and you can listen to the whole thing plus some other goodies at our website.***After an unassuming start as a home recording project of Michael Kane in 2002, Long Knives is now a 4 piece band with the addition of Ben, White Andy and Susannah comprising guitar, pedal steel and violin. If the songs aren't playing properly, it's not our fault. Just go to the website, there's lots of middling music to hear.

Sounds Like: guys who listen to a lot of metal, but sound like pussies..................................................... ............................................................ ..............................."Long Knives played a slower set that featured pedal steel guitar, 12-string acoustic, multiple acoustic guitars, banjo and drums. Their mellow folk sound was so lethargically paced that it could easily lower your heart rate and cause one to slip in and out of consciousness." - Southeast Performer................................................... ............................................................ ............."Long Knives play a ghostly, glum, weary marriage of dark acoustic Americana and darker electric-band flourishes. Put on their self-titled, self released CD at your next baby shower and watch as hilarity ensues!" -Stomp and Stammer
Type of Label: Major
