Sakurai were formed from the remains of Manchester band Ordium and from one of the founding members of Hooker (Purr records).
Since their first live show to an enthusiastic audience at the Roadhouse in manchester, the band have gone on to play over 80 shows all over the uk at some of the best venues around. Sakurai have had the pleasure to have played with :

Sakurai recently went in to the recording studio in Wales to record their 2nd EP with Nick hemmingway (Drummer with ISOR) producing, Engineering.Mixing and Mastering. Nick has worked with Cancer, Fony, Desecration, FR8, Owingtothis, Fruit Tree, Nailed, Headspeed, Died Smiling, Schiztome, Blind To, Fire Fly, Abigail's Mercy, Demon Breed, Enemy Unknown, Subluminal to name but a few.
Having just recently signed to Casket/Copro Records Sakurai are to release their debut mini album worldwide in stores through Phd Distribution on May 22nd 2006 with a uk tour to promote the release in June.The future can only can get brighter for SAKURAI. ************************************************************
