Knowledge gives the power to act in truth and causes life, while ignorance blinds the sight and causes death. Death is the result of ignorance, alone. A human being needs a map to travel both in this lifetime and beyond.How can you travel in life, after death without knowing the way? The wickedness of the soul is ignorance and the virtue of the soul is knowledge. Most people have such a fondness for illusion that they might see the word Disillusion in a negative light. The word Disillusion is a literal term for "freeing from illusion">>> Most people are suffereing; They do not fundamentally enjoy their lives. Their entertainments and playful affairs are temporary distractions from their underlying sense of fear. Their sex, food, favorite tv shows, movies, music and internet aren't bad, but to them are addictions, not enjoyments. They use them to distract themselves from their chaotic inner life - The parade of regrets, anxieties and fantasies they call their "minds." This is all completely verifyable. In their habitual quest for achievement and entertainment, they avoid the fundamental source of their suffering. A perfect example would be a spoiled rich kid, yuppy mother fucker, or a completely lost depressed teen and or past abused adult. When they don't get what they want the suffer, when they get what they want, they suffer. Even when they get exactly what they want, they still suffer, because they can't hold on to it forever, and this causes mortal fear. Their minds are a predicament. It wants to be free of change, free of pain, free of obligations of life and death. But, change is law, and no amount of pretending will alter that reality. Though life isn't all suffering. You will suffer it rather enjoy it, until you let go of your minds attachments and just go for the ride freely. No matter what happens. You mind isn't reality, and is a plague and runs people around like a baboon stung in the ass by a scorpion. This is another reason why meditation is so important. It's a wonderful tool of letting go, cutting through your minds knots that hold you back from your true self like a ninja. Letting go. Just let go. Love, laugh, and enjoy the gift of each day. Do unto others as you'd want them to do unto you. Love your enemy so that he may receive what he has never before truly received...Love. Once you've stepped over your mind and your prison realizing what you really are, no tie will ever bind you.>>> Specific actions like: smoking, drinking, taking drugs, eating unhealthy foods or asking stupid questions are both bad and good. Every action has it's price, and it's pleasures. REcognizing both sides, you become realistic and responsible for your actions. Only then can you make an enlightened, free and conscious choice...To do, or not to do. When you sit, SIT, when you stand, STAND, but whatever you do, never wobble. Once you make your choice, do it with all of your spirit. Don't be like the preacher who thought about praying while making love to his wife, and thought about making love to his wife while praying. It's better to make mistakes with the full force of your being, than to timidly avoid mistakes with a trembling spirit. Responsibility means both recognizing both pleasure and price, action and consequence, then you make your choice. Moderation is mediocrity, fear and and confusion in disguise. It's the devil's dilema. It's neither doing, nor not doing. It's the wobbling compromise that makes no one happy. MOderation is for the bland, the apologetic, for the "fence sitters" of the world afraid to make a stand. It's for those afraid to laugh of cry for those afraid to live or die.
