a nice poet, musician or arty type who will worship me and buy me chocolate and pretty things...
i like sounds...yeah.
cult ones like donnie darko, classics like star wars, indiana jones, bill and ted, princess bride etc, oldies like Oz,.. like horror movies too..and generally i'd say my fave movie was the godfather, but if i really had to only pick one genre of film to watch for the rest of my life, it'd have to be disney..in particuar, the greatness that is the LION KING.
alias, futurama, black books, peep show, planet earth, top gear, house, quantum leap, due south, scrubs, father ted, occasionally buffy and dawson's creek for nostalgia, spongebob is genius and whilst i am onboard the whole boosh bandwagon, the strong connections it has with my ex means it must be carefully rationed..(sorry, but have the songs constantly being sung at you by someone who can't sing and you'll understand..)...but don't watch tv..go outside, it's sunny
being an english student apparantly entails a certain amount of reading..
my favourite tools for this task are the godfather(mario puzo), rebecca(daphne du maurier), to kill a mockingbird(harper lee), also gothic fiction, i.e. edgar allen poe and anne rice, wilde, shakespeare, sherlock holmes, children's classics, narnia, wonderland etc, mythology (greek in particular) and the bunny suicides. Generally the poetry i like is epic and/or tragic, quite enjoyed coleridge, tennyson and keats last year, john wilmot II, cohen, dylan, dahl..
for non fiction i like to look at maps and medical encyclopedias...
I guess my notion of "heroic" stems from things i saw and read as a child, those kinda people who will lay down their lives for the greater good..some kind of amalgamation of jesu, aslan, optimus prime and mufasa then..hmm lots of lions there... maybe filler bunny too, he's no hero but he reminds me of myself..
