Influences: My infuences coming up were Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway and Earth Wind and Fire. I also followed Michael Jackson in his younger days, Until artists like Tony Terry, Eric Benet, and D'angelo came into the picture. I recently started following artists like Musiq soulchild and Tank, i feel they are truly gifted. I am heavily influenced by jazz and hip-hop and they both play a major role in my music. My father (Darryl Askew Sr.) who also creates music is probably my biggest influence of all. Because of him i grew up around music. My father was a role model for me with his ability to play just about any instrument you put in front of him.
