My name is Lauren Cumberpatch - AKA Lauren/C; I sing, write and produce my own music. My compositions are 100% original. I use Sonar 4 Producer Edition, Fruity Loops, a Yamaha Clavinova and various Soft Synths to create my music. The styles I usually write in are R'n'B, Soul and Pop. However, I am trying to get out of these genres and do something different. I'm influenced by many different artists, and aspire to be like them, without being deemed 'a copycat'. I strive to be unique.I'm always looking for ways to get my music promoted; I'm open to suggestions and propositions. Influences: I'd have to say Alicia Keys is a big influence, I love her music and she's a big inspiration... Also Craig David, Usher, Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Joss Stone, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Switchfoot, Damien Rice, Eva Cassidy, Coldplay, KT Tunstall, and of course all the old school soul singers, e.g Aretha! In fact there's too many to mention (I'm pretty eclectic, so I guess my music varies)
Sounds Like: I was recently deemed 'the female Craig David'... But I suppose I'm a little Alicia Keys like. Of course you can decide for yourselves and let me know!
