Oh yeah, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouths

About Me

Just a cute, artistic, pissy man, living in the lap of luxury here in Nashville, TN. I've got the world's best husband, my two little bug-eyed girls, and a job I actually like. I guess I'm set, then! I like to write, as evidenced by my blogs. I'm currently working on a comic book that I plan to self-publish later this year, about a gay couple torn apart by vampires (ooh, scary!). Just being upfront, but hopefully, people read this. These are my myspace rules: If you are under age 18, and I don't already know you, do not send me a friendship request. I will laugh as I delete you. Also, I'd like it if you send me a message first before you send a friendship request. It's nice to know why people are contacting you. And finally, if you do send me a friendship request and I go to look at your page and it's locked down private, I probably will deny the request if you haven't messaged me first. Just letting you know some of my myspace rules. Other than that, I love to meet people, so take a chance and get in touch. If not, just enjoy the purdy pictures!

My Interests

comic books, movies, television, pop culture, drawing. I love to read. I have about a half dozen magazine subscriptions, I read the paper everyday. I love politics and topical issues. I love to write and discuss. I love nature. I love to travel. I love hanging with friends, kicking back a few shots and meeting new people.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who won't piss me off. Oh yeah, and ATB (though I met him once. would love to again!), Gwen Stefani, Holly Hunter (one of the chicks I'd switch for), Gore Vidal. John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Meryl Streep, Augustyn Burroughs, Joss Whedon, Alan Moore, Jamie Bamber, Tricia Helfer, .....can I just meet everyone?

Music:

I love Trance music. ATB is by far my favorite trance God. I love drum and bass, like Dieselboy. I like Madonna (but then, I guess 80% of gays do), No Doubt, Snow Patrol, Sia, Tori Amos, Alanis Morrisette, Nine Inch Nails, Vega4, Amy Winehouse, Placebo, Korn, Matt Kearney, 80's music, The Sundays, Bloc Party, old country music, 50's and 60's R&B (what can I say, I'm a classic music guy), Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, Better Than Ezra, Fiona Apple, Bjork, Enya, Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Willis, Radiohead....I think this list could go on for weeks.

Movies:

I'm a movie NUT!!!! I see about 3 dozen films a year in the theatre (and love to post reviews). Ritchie and I have amassed an embarrassingly massive DVD catalog of over 500 movies. I guess I'll list my TOP TWENTY faves instead of just naming all of the movies that I like: (but this list in no way limits the kinds of films I like, as I'm a big scifi/fantasy/horror guy. I also love comedies, thrillers, dramas, documentaries, and foreign films)20) GOOD WILL HUNTING 19) SCHINDLER'S LIST 18) THE PIANO 17) THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY 16) CONTACT 15) KILL BILL 14) TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME 13) AKIRA 12) THE MATRIX 11) SILENCE OF THE LAMBS 10) AS GOOD AS IT GETS 9) TRUE ROMANCE 8) THE COLOR PURPLE 7) WIZARD OF OZ 6) A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN 5) THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS 4) BEFORE SUNSET 3) THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING 2) THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING 1) THELMA AND LOUISE

Television:

I'm also a huge television nut. As a matter of fact, I think I have a problem. I should look into that when I get the chance. My faves right now are LOST, VERONICA MARS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, HEROES, BONES, 24 (though it's fading quickly), GREY'S ANATOMY, UGLY BETTY and SUPERNATURAL. Back in the day, the GOLDEN GIRLS, THE NANNY (thank you Lifetime network), TWIN PEAKS, and numerous others that are too many to count.

Books:

I don't read as many books as I should, but did read DOG YEARS earlier this year. It's fantastic, so check it out if you can. I also love fantasy, like the HARRY POTTER series, and the HISTORIAN.

Heroes:

My mom. She raised 4 hateful little boys as a single mother with 3 jobs. I don't know how she did it, and actually had us all turn out well-adjusted, but she did.

My Blog

KNOCKED UP review (RATED R)

Not being the world's biggest fan of comedy, it generally takes a lot to lure me from the comfort of my air-conditioned home, and to get me to the theatre to see one. I like to laugh as much as the ne...

PART THREE: While it's noble to force ethics reform, and to reduce lobbyists' influence, you do actually have to convince your co-workers, many of whom have enjoyed the perks of lobbyists' kickbacks ...

ATB: TRILOGY review

After a two year absense, the king returns! ATB is far and away my favourite DJ/mixer (sorry DJ Ron!). There are few artists in the electronic arena who can hold a candle to him. That's why I waited ...
