With a unsuitable taste for the musical, artistic and writing of any sort I keep my interests widely spread, from here at home far off into other countries or even worlds. I deal a lot in dreams and telling people how to make sense of them. But that's just the tip of the iceberg...
Everyone around me in a twisted, sickly version of this world...when one color becomes the other. Who would turn into the darker side of themselves, and who would be "pure"? Would there be any shades of gray? What would I be like...who might I kill first? Who could I save? And just who would betray me first?CURRENT MOON moon phases
I'm a broad listener when it comes to music. What I'm not changes lost with the seasons. Though once I get stuck on something, I never truly let it go or forget it. ^_~ Twist together for me something with a pulse, something alive and throbbing like the heart in my chest, yet as gently wicked as the dreams of my mind. Give an explosion of Technicolor, a spin off a record, a call from the night as a predator breathes down my neck. Exciting, enticing. Heavy but light, dark but not prohibiting sight. Growling voices, the sounds of angels all intermingled in one taste morphing sensation. Music ranges from high to low, pitch and volume, bass and drum lines...but close your eyes and it can play your soul like a tinkling piano or high stung harp. ((On a trip I plan on taking over seas I'm going to hopefully link up with a couple of friends of mine and go on a search for whatever music we can find. Wish us luck!))
I quite enjoy the SAW series, as well as the Evil Dead Trilogy. V for Vendetta left me speechless, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre had me laughing my fool head off. I love being scared out of my mind in the theater or hell, in real life itself. ^_^; Though a good romance or action movie is just fine with me, I'm a hopeless romantic when it comes to such things, raised on the story and history of The Phantom of the Opera....it's kind of hard not to be.
I don't really watch much of this stuff, G4 every now and then, perhaps Fuse for some background music as well as Sirius...but I do love my video games. ^_^ Soul Reaver is my name-sake. The entire Legacy of Kain Series I love to death. But give me anything...from Zombies ate my Neighbors on Sega to Conker's Bad Fur Day on 64, and I'll play it. DDR, it'll keep you in shape man...>_>
Give me a novel that's thick and well worth my time. I want a story that drags me into the pages, straps me down and never lets me go. Something worth remembering and in a way comes close to reality through the telling... The Legacy of Drizzt...The Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series for example...Covenant with the Vampire : Diaries of the Family Dracul is yet one more...comics...anything pretty much.
What is a hero really? To one side they're salvation, yet to the other...damnation. To, let's say the "light" he/she's the bringer of all things that are good and the casting down of the blackened "vile" ones. Yet the champion of the "dark" is like the devil himself to those people. But to his race/followers, he can bring down the glittering star of the light and help them to regain their lost presence on whatever plane it is they inhabit. (Now that I've utterly confused half of you...) Who your hero is really depends on what side you're on...if you even chose one...But if so, which is it? What will you do when that "Champion" of your's falls? Who will you depend on then?
