The only thing that matters to me is my family and my education. My mind is the only thing I can take with me and my family is the only ones who stick with me. My nuclear family is amazing ranging from open-minded fundamentalist to consevative agnostics. I think my family is about as good as it gets. My extended family includes some very close friends that I know will love me and stick with me no matter what. That kinda love cannot be bought and I wouldn't trade my close friends for anyone in the world. I guess the mindset I value most in myself and others is passion. I enjoy the company of anyone that truly believes what they are saying; they can offer well thought out explanations of ideas; they are not offended by contrary beliefs. Some people associate passion with fanatics. To me true passion is a life choice, a quest for the truth. Violence is bred from insecurity and the inability to understand your neighbors beliefs nor your own.
On a lighter note, I own my own businesses, Eye Dialogue LLC-A lighting, sound, and video company, which is rocking my world. This year we won "Best Use of Lighting" by Charlotte ISES 2007. We are now up for a "Hometown Hero" award by PLSN. Featured in nearly every trade magazine, Eye Dialogue has formed a team that is shaping the course of lighting design in the Carolina Metro Market.
