you really can't beat the words of john steinbeck, but if your not into the classic thing then give tom sharp a try. his political satires are hilarious.
i would not go as far as to say hero, but he is the greatest inspiration in my life... my lifelong friend severn who has (this is going to be a cliché) beat all the odds and survived a severe car crash that more then very easily could have taken his life. that is the greatest comeback i will ever witness.
