Bog of Eternal Stench

About Me

I know a place wants a poem,
a funk to its fork, or crank to
its clap. Clip-clop tick-tock of
the clock five minutes past.

Open up a face laced with foam,
a spoon in the drain with
the slip slop clatter tank
dirty dishes in the sink blues.

Square sits a fridge needs to
moan, slap tap its feet and grin
as the mornin' sun groan meets
each day-dream 'gainst the din.

whither it slithers

This is a photograph by Leilani Wertens called 'Encroachment.'I'm not sure why encroachment came to mind. Something unwanted must be pushing its way into me, like a mafic dike. In fact, maybe such e...

Last night, instead of catching up on my reading, I participated in furtive, candlelit outpourings and ate M&Ms. I hadn't written in my personal journal since heart-break, and there weren't even any ...

I'm so delighted by that trip down memory lane, that I'm going to take one too. Psych! See? That was a trip down memory lane, and oh so meaningful. As it turns out, I've had an amazingly good day, even...

perverse love without the sex

Dawn or dusk for the wild horses of Abaco? That is the question, at least the one emblazoned across my chest. I think the fact that dawn is written in red, all capitals, justifies the term emblazoned....

to learn the delicacies of speed reading

This is my clandestine act of the day. I should be continuing on with my hundreds of pages worth of reading that I need to have under wraps for tomorrow, but instead, I prefer to dig an ever-deepening...

shocking exposure: weird lies and eating disorders

The new novel feeling of the day is hunger. I'd like to say this is because I was suffering some psychological trauma that is now over. However, I'd be lying to us both if I claimed that to be true. I...

i will save you from corruption, little one

Somehow, I sat reading Rousseau at a little table for three hours, with naught but some coffee and IRON WILL to sustain me. I think I shall fashion a new breakfast cereal and call it IRON WILL. The ta...

in homage of a great man

Oh what tumult has cast itself upon this little room! In an effort to keep up my tipping and tapping keys so that friends and countrymen don't tar and feather me, I'm going to tell a little story abou...
