About Me

Hey, I'm Kevin. I'm 21 years old, stuck in the Army for another 2 years or so... (yeah I reenilisted... my bad). I'm not really a big fan of the army... Anyway, I love to watch movies and discover new music, and as most of you know i love to listen to music i already love until well past the point where everyone else is sick of it. I play a bit of Xbox, but i'm not that much of a gamer, and I watch TV when i'm bored.... I also like to find new restaurants, because food is good. Arguing just for the sake of argument can be a great way to pass the time (maybe I should start debating people or something), especially when putting way too much thought and logic into incredibly inconsequential topics (i.e. If you had the option to be able to fly or to be able to make yourself invisible, which would it be? Think about it and post a comment) I think thats about it... Oh yeah, random internet videos can be a great waste of time... Thats about it, send me a message or a friend request, I check this crap entirely too often.

My Interests

Ummm... I think this has kind of been covered in the about me portion... so I'll go with see above.

I'd like to meet:

Homer Simpson and My 2 grandpas and 1 grandma again... I hope they would be proud.

Music:

In no particular order... Tool, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Lamb of God, Rise Against, Alien Ant Farm, Green Day, Chevelle, Taproot, Radiohead, Jimmy Eat World, Story of the Year, Crossfade, Seether, The Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Eminem, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyke, Christopher Lawrence, DieselBoy, Thrice, Orgy, Saosin, Circa Survive, Deftones, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and many more i can't think of right now.

Movies:

Once again, in no particular order... The Departed, Blood Diamond, Batman Begins, Fight Club, The Prestige, The Usual Suspects, The Matrix, Kill Bill, all the Kevin Smith Movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy etc...) Requiem For A Dream, Saw (all of them), Trainspotting, Reality Bites, The Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, American Pie 1 & 2, Old School, Eulogy, Election, Road Trip, Saving Silverman, The Shawshank Redemption, SLC Punk, Seven, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Way of the Gun, 25th Hour, 28 grams, 10 things I Hate About You, Scarface, The Godfather, American History X, A Day Without a Mexican, Boogie Nights, Buffalo Soldiers and much more i cant think of right now, but talking movies is definitely a favorite past time of mine, so if you have an opinion on any of the above or something you think I should have seen I'd love to hear it.

Television:

I'm a die-hard classic simpsons fan, although i couldnt tell you the last time i watched a new episode. Family Guy, King of the Hill, Futurama, South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Da Ali G Show (I dont know if i've laughed so hard recently), Friends, Scrubs, Lost (up until i missed a few episodes and stopped watching, i'll buy the dvd eventually) Smallville (same as Lost)... I'm sure theres more.. I'm not a big fan of reality tv, tho i do get sucked in on occaision (I will absolutely not admit to what shows)... I think thats about it. Moral of the story I watch a lot more TV than i should.

Books:

I dont read as much as I'd like to, but my favorites are Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S. Thompson (may he rest in peace), A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius - Dave Eggers, The Beach (i'm well aware of how much the movie sucked, the book is still an amazing depiction of paradise found and lost. Even more quickly than they achieved it did it all go to hell. ) - Alex Garland, Fight Club - Chuck Palahniuk, Midnights Children (Took me forever to finish, but well worth it) - Salman Rushdie, A Man in Full - Tom Wolfe, The Bonfire of the Vanities - Tom Wolfe, The Virgin Suicides - Jeffrey Eugenides, Freakonomics - Steven Levitt... Other than that i like most Dean Koontz, a bit of Steven King, John Saul, John Grisham, Michael Chrichton (did i spell that right?). Any reccomendations are welcome, i'm always looking for a good book to read.

Heroes:

My grandma & grandpa and Hunter S Thompson for completely different reasons.

My Blog

What really happened on 9/11

I’ll preface this by saying I am pretty liberal.  At a minimum you could say that I am not a fan of George Bush & Co.  However, up until very recently i thought that people talking...

The Army Strikes Again

As the title implies, the Army has done it one more time.  I was told while I was at the range that I am now on orders to become a recruiter.  No one seems to be entirely sure what this mean...

2007 survey with some extra crap thrown in

As 2007 comes to an end, and a few people have been posting these, I thought why not?  And since I've got nothing better to do I'm going to go into a little more depth than your average survey an...
