My name is Tom Groove, and I’m an electro and progressive house DJ. I was born and raised in Europe, where I was influenced by electronic music, and now live and work in the U.S.
One of my earliest musical influences was when I first heard Josh Wink’s track “Don’t Laugh†on VIVA. After that, I looked for more artists who performed using the “techno†style. I then found out about Sven Vaeth, Dave Spoon, Sasha and others, and enjoyed their music. After some time, I felt that only listening to music wasn’t enough. I needed to start making music of my own. After remixing a few famous artists such as Faithless and Delerium, I realized that the DJ scene would fulfill my passion for music.
Simply put, I produce and mix music, which makes people happy.
After DJ'ing at few places, I became a resident DJ at Martini Ranch, one of Chicago's hot spots for house music. In October I started a new residency at one of the newest clubs in Chicago area - BLUR.
Year 2008 started a with great success at the hottest clubs in Chicago such as Mannequin, Climax, Moda, Filthy Libertine, Wet and others.
