I like almost anything that isn't pop, r & b, gospel, or death metal. I want to be able to understand what the artist is singing. I also love blues, funk and most classical music. If given the choice, I'd rather listen to 70's rock.
And I'll give almost anything a chance if it's a live show.

Movies:

I love Fight Club, Boondock Saints, and Formula 51. Most comedies, and I've been known to be tricked into watching a chick flick or two (damn you Brandi)

Television:

I don't have time for TV right now but I love LOST and Twilight Zone, and watching Mythbusters and Gilmore Girls with my daughter.

Books:

I LOVE Sherrilyn Kenyon and Poppy Z. Brite. There's just something about imortals in the south that do it for me.
