Aria Prame

About Me

Since arriving in Seattle in 2002, vocalist Aria Prame has been sharing her pure sound with audiences through her interpretations of the great jazz standards. She approaches each tune with expressiveness and musicality, and gives a unique and sincere performance every time she takes the stage. Aria began seriously pursuing her passion for music in Boston singing with local bands, while studying vocal jazz with teachers at The New England Conservatory before moving to the Pacific Northwest. She is now consistently pleasing audiences around Seattle with her soulful and distinctive sound. From 2004-2009 Aria was the house singer Wednesday nights at The Whisky Bar with Jazz-Cat extraordinaire Ronnie Pierce (Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame) and his ensemble. Here she had the opportunity to play with top musicians from all over the country when they stopped by to sit in at what became a legendary Seattle session. She can now be found at CAFE AMORE in Belltown EVERY THURSDAY from 8-11pm with pianist Eric Verlinde, bassist Chuck Kistler, and drummer Andre Thomas. Other notable musicians and ensembles she has performed with are, pianists Randy Halberstadt and John Hanson, legendary bassist Buddy Catlett, Dawn Clement, The Darin Clendenin Trio, and the jazz group "The Teaching". Aria participated in a live broadcast at Jack Straw Studios for KEXP’s radio program “Sonarchy” which broadcast on May 21, 2005. To hear a track from this live radio show listen to "What is Lost?", an original piece by local composer Harry Pierce. In 2006 and 2007 Aria Prame performed with pianist Randy Halberstadt at Jazz Alley as a semifinalist in the Seattle-Kobe female jazz vocalist competition. She has also performed at Tula's, Egan's Ballard Jam House, Local Color, Lo-Fi, St. Clouds, The Columbia Club, Vertigo, and many other clubs and restaurants in the Seattle and Bellevue area. For booking information contact Aria Prame directly: [email protected]
