I'm Phuking Canadian and I play drums......
Music is not a popularity contest for me, I have been playing drums all my life. I went to school to expand my musicianship and spent a better part of a decade touring in a van to play my guts out anywhere that would have me and my band play. Music is a part of me, it,s what keeps me insane!
I signed a major label deal with Sony back in 2000 and what I learnt from that experience was how quickly they can ruin your career in the blink of an eye. Everything you worked for never meant shit. You learn about anger/hatred/bitterness and depression. You find out who your friends really are. You become educated in the business of music.
Today I am happy to report I write/record and play in a number of projects. I do it for me and the like minded people I play with and especially the ones that come and see it live. The music business failed in taking away my musicianship, it made me get on with my life. It gave me a renewed passion for drumming and music.
I may never sign a deal again and thats cool with me. I'll be playing my drums and writing my tunes and getting a fucking life I've put on hold for so many years.
But hey, if some company out there has a few million to throw our way I'm sure we could hold out for a few more years hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!! I play drums......life goes on!!
