I am a lefthanded aquarian, born in 1969 in Tokyo, Japan. From age 4 to 6, lived in Chicago (Evanston, Ill.) and moved to suburbs of NY (Riversi...) from age 6 to 13. Moved back to Tokyo from 13 til 18. Moved to London, from 18 for 7 years to study in University and graduated University of London. Lived about almost half my life abroad in USA and UK and 20 years in Japan. I am bi-lingual (english and japanese).Profession: freelance music coordinator and sometime agent, working in the Japanese music industry. Used to work as A&R for an indie label called P-Vine Records for 3 and a half years until 2000.Do license coordination work for many Japanese record companies (KSR, Rush! Production, mule musiq, Universal, Flower Records, Rightsscale, Fiveman Army, amongst others). Also do license coordination work for foreign labels and producers (Diaspora, Sunshine Enterprises, Freerange, Pooled Music, Divine Recordings, Ron Trent, Neroli, amongst others)Work as international representative for Flower Records. Used to promote overseas labels such as Delsin, Tigersushi. Act as Japanese agent for UK house producer/DJ, Frankie Valentine. Sometime translator for Phono Magazine (free magazine that Flower Records publishes a couple of times a year), DJ(with ebz aka code-e of mule electronics, a member of the hangouters crew, hangouters party held every month, last weekend at ovo in nakameguro, tokyo), music journalist for free magazine, Posivision (write reviews).Some recent work that I have been doing in Japan
1. secured licensing for Ron Trent's new album, Ron Trent Presents Cinematic Travels: Ancient Future (to Villege Again) released in Japan on May, 2007. Artwork by heavy weight.
2. secured licensing for Archive (Italy): (as one: planetary folklore 2 album to Ultra-Vybe)
3. secured licensing for Alton Miller's new album, Souls Like Mine & compilation: Selected Works (Japan only) (again, Ultra-Vybe)
4. secured licensing for Sunshine Enterprise for Frankie Valentine's new album, World Of What? (again, Ultra-Vybe)
5. licensed classic 90s electronic techno albums for Spiral Records for their re-issue series, Electric Soul Classics (classic albums from As One, Larry Heard, Two Lone Swordsmen, Ian O'Brien, Detroit Escalator Company, Reaganz) released only in Japan, throughout 2007.
6. started & running new record label, REALLYHAPPENING. label head, Peter Berkley. 1st release: The Life Force Trio album: Ima (Living Room special Japanese edition), V.A./ Sound of LA (special Japan only CD release).
7. licensing tracks for upcoming compilation called Beyond Borders compiled by Raphael Sebbag of UFO. released by Rush! Production in Dec. 06.
8. licensed tracks for mix cd by Optimo, Walkabout, released by mule musiq, new sub-label, endless flight. released April, 2007.
9. secured license of Recloose Live Band's new live album, BACKWARDS AND SIDEWAYS out of Recloose's own new label, Finger Tips to Ultra-Vybe. Out in May 19th in Japan.
10. secured licensing for a Jose Padilla selected compilation, called Hotel Micuras which only is sold exclusively at a new designer hotel in Atami, a resort town west of Tokyo.
11. secured licensing for Tom Middleton's album, Lifetracks to Musicmine, released in Oct. 2007 in Japan. Coordinated Tom Middleton's promotional Japan tour in Oct. 2007.
12. supervised & did license coordination for tracks, for the forthcoming, new mix CD series released by Ultra-Vybe, called Mi-Mix.1st installment by DJ Alex From Tokyo (Tokyo Black Star/ World Famous).
13. work for Susumu Yokota (skintone)
14. secured licensing for Kelley Polar's new album and special Japan only release of Environ label compilation to Ultra-Vybe, to be released in May. 2007 in Japan only.
