About Me

Hi everyone. My name is Deborah Rimer. I am Venezuelan of Israeli descendancy. I'm a mother, a wife, a teacher, and a student. I teach middle eastern dance at Irene Rimer Dance Academy. I'm a lover of life and beauty. Beauty in terms of anything that enlightens the soul, provides understanding, and gives peace and serenity. Middle Eastern music and culture has been the inspirational portal for me.These are my beliefs. Experiences make us unique as individuals, therefore the different roads we travel on make us who we are as in "personality". The unique experiences we travel through as spiritual beings give us a perspective like no other, and in that there is power and valuable insight; when someone speaks from their heart, listen carefully for their words are food for the soul. The people that surround us are both our teachers and our students. Despite the different roads we travel on, and despite the fact the bodies we travel in them are different...we are also the same. The spark of life is the same, but the choices we make determine whether we keep that spark alive of die it off.One should try to understand how the other side feels and not write someone off immediately because they rubbed us wrong the first time we met them or because "something about them," wasn't to our liking. Maybe it's actually something about ourselves we see in them that is not to our liking. This can teach us something great. Keep the choice to be someone's friend open and let the opportunity present itself to actually like them. Don't talk about someone negatively, even if the urge is great, one day you may find yourself regretting it. The power of words is greater than the power of your fist. A bruise can heal, but an emotion can torment someone to the grave. To be wise is to apply knowledge. The wisest of all is to be able to say, "I don't know" or to simply not say anything at all. To make mistakes is to be human, to be human is to understand humanity. So we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves, it might rob us of forgiveness and humility. And finally, truth is the light of all lights and it always finds a way to shine through. My family is what holds me together, and my faith in God. Some people may think I am religious, but I run away from religion...I'm simply a seeker of truth. We were all raised in different circumstances and may come from different cultures, there is no reason why there can't be more than one way to find enlightenment. It's just a matter of being open to listen and open to a new way of thinking.Click here to view my bio:My belly
